JACK BEATS 

WHO IS JACK BEATS AND WHAT MUSIC DOES HE DJ?
Jack Beats, who's real name is Benjamin Geffin, is a bassline and a key part of the emerging collective/label 'Night Bass'. Jack Beats started as a duo consisting of Beni G and DJ plus one, who produced their music as well as Deejaying it. The Duo eventually split in recent times



BACKGROUND
Beni G, born in Enfield, grew up deeply interested in DJ scratching and pursued his career in it alongside his academic stud

QUALITIES OF JACK BEATS
As a duo, they became notorious for wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy acapella's cut, copy'd and pasted. 

EQUIPMENT
I was able to retrieve a full rider for Beni G's shows please see below

     (3.1) TECHNICAL RIDER
  • PURCHASER agrees to set up the appropriate DJ booth that is free from interruption. 
  • PURCHASER hereby agrees to provide and pay for a first-class sound and lighting system, to include the listed equipment and technical specifications on the Technical Rider below:
  • This set up must be adhered to in STRICT detail. No parts of the technical rider may be replaced. Failure to adhere to this will result in immediate cancellation of the booking without liability to agreed ARTIST'S fee per contract.

  • (3.3). BACKLINE
  • (2 - 3) CDJ 2000’s (NEXUS MODELS ONLY) 1 I spare
  • All CDJs MUST be linked via an industry standard router including switch
  • (2) Pioneer DJM 900 Mixers ONLY (1 is spare)
  • Wireless Mic- VERY IMPORTANT
  • (This is an extremely important part of the show and a corded microphone will not be acceptable. The microphone should also never run through the 900 mixer and should be placed on the left hand side of the DJ Riser)

(3.4) DJ BOOTH
  • Regardless of the stage set up, JACKBEATS require a safe, clean, professional looking DJ-Booth. Unless the stage and booth are part of a scenic design, the booth should follow the below requirements: 

  • DJ-Booth should be Mid-Stage Center, 8ft from the Downstage edge
    - The front side of the DJ-Booth MUST be covered by a dark cloth if not by a video wall
    - Must have a Foam Pad or Camping Mat placed under the CDJs and DJM
    - DJ-Booth table should be 8ft Wide X 4ft High AND STURDY ENOUGH TO STAND ON - So the Performer can stand on the table, they will need a riser or step up
    - Must have (2) Large Stage Fans underneath or behind 
  • (3.5). AUDIO

  • PA System must be stereo four ways active, capable of providing clear non distorted even coverage of sound throughout the audience area at levels up to 120dba, 140 dbc, 30hz to 18khz. 
  • The FOH speaker system must not cover / obstruct the stage! 
  • The processors for the system should be at FOH and accessible. 
  • The PA should be flown whenever possible with ground stacks, infill, out fills and delays as required to give even coverage of sound. Preferred systems include:(d&b, Funktion one, Turbo
