MIDI WEEK 4

MIDI WEEK 4

SAMPLING
In The lesson we took a very brief look into basics of sampling and the bridge between Audio and MIDI First of all we created some audio tracks

We were told to bring pre-prepared samples to use which could either be recorded ourselves or from a source online. I brung in one from my sample library, which was a soft piano melody.

The next stage was to convert our track into a sample track, we can do this by going to convert>convert to sampler track. Click 'Transient markers' which will convert you audio into midi notes based on the spikes in the audio

Now we can edit an audio track on basis of editing midi. This can be extremely useful when wanting to edit your audio so it fits in how and where you want it to be in your track.

MIDI EFFECTS
Overview of the effects that are available to place over your MIDI regions

ARPEGGIATOR: Takes the currently placed notes and sequencing them. Useful when a piece you've played does not seem to have enough depth. You can set the settings for what the effect sequencing
CHORD TRIGGER: This processes single notes into their respective chords. You can also modify the settings for this process
